Days per takeoff
A full manual takeoff on a mid-size plan set eats days of estimator time, for a job you probably won't win.
Every line, counted.
Hatchcount reads your plan set, measures every wall, slab and fixture, and drafts a priced estimate in about an hour, flagging anything it isn't sure about.
Now onboarding pilot contractors.
The problem
A full manual takeoff on a mid-size plan set eats days of estimator time, for a job you probably won't win.
Typical win rates mean most of the counting goes into bids that never turn into work.
Forget one run of partitions or a door schedule and the profit on the job is gone before you break ground.

What you get
Line items with quantity, unit, unit cost and total, ready to edit.
Every counted element highlighted on the sheet, so anyone can audit it.
Drop it into the spreadsheet or estimating tool you already use.
When a new drawing set arrives, changed areas are highlighted and re-counted.
Security
Drawings are encrypted in transit and at rest.
Your drawings are never shown to or shared with other customers.
Remove a project and its files whenever you want.
Pilot program
We're working with a limited number of contractors. We run your next real bids through Hatchcount alongside your own estimate, so you can compare line by line before trusting it on anything.
FAQ
How it works
From PDF to priced draft in about an hour.
STEP 01
Drop in the PDF plan set. Architectural, structural, MEP: Hatchcount sorts sheets by title block and discipline.
STEP 02
Walls, doors, windows, fixtures and hatch patterns are detected and matched to materials using the drawing's own legend.
STEP 03
Areas, volumes, linear runs and counts are measured at the sheet's scale, cross-checked against dimension strings.
STEP 04
Quantities are priced with current material and labor costs and assembled into a draft estimate you can edit.
Know what to double-check
Hatchcount doesn't pretend to be certain. Every quantity it isn't confident about gets an amber flag with the reason, so your estimator checks those first instead of re-counting everything.
